Are there any compound miter saws on the market that use a laser light to indicate where the saw will cut the wood?

There are several saws with lazer guides. Go to retail sites like homedepot.com, Lowes.com and sears.com. There you will find several saws with this feature.

You can also add laser sighting to an existing saw that does't have it. bladepoint.com and laserkerf.com are just 2 of a few companies that retrofit laser guided aid to an old saw.

I can't swear to this, but I think Delta jus launched a saw with twin lazers, indicating either side of the blade.

Stay safe....Have fun
Sears' twin-laser 10" CMS has been in the stores for a maybe about 6 months now. I have no hands-on experience with on but I Have heard good reports of it.
I do have the recently-discontinued 12-inch "Craftsman Professional" CMS with a laser guide. Frankly, the laser thing is more marketing hooooey than really worthwhile. Sure, it's actually "neat" and "illuminating" but all in all it doesn't add anything to making the cut. That first whisk of the blade into the workpiece is what tells ya everything!
Just buy yourself whatever saw will do the nunber for you and shut the door while you soak away your whatevers :-)-- Steve

I didn't like the lasers that required the blade to spin to operate, so I bought the laserkerf http://www.laserkerf.com add-on. Setup properly it marks the kerf at any blade angle.
