I am thinking of using my rockler router table to make dovetail keys for mitered corners in 3/4 thick white oak. I’m not sure of the best method for doing this and need some help here. The router table has a miter slot in it, so is a jig the way to go here? Many thanks!

Jig contest submission
This is designed for a table saw, but you could adapt it to your router table, either to run in the miter slot or simply run along the fence:

I just run a sled with 45 degree sides against the fence. I only enter the miter slot when the jig accidently falls into the slot while I am running the fence. This is for straight keys but the same as a dovetail except you use the table saw. I was just using this jig to make a little slot holder for brass set up bars.
Looked at both posts, thanks for the help--Looks like I will make a sled and give it a try.
First picture
Of course in the first pix I have a small triangular piece I am slotting and holding in place with scrap held with spring clamps. For a box, the entire box would stand up in the jig with a corner projecting down thru the bottom slot.
