Mitre Saw Stand
I’m looking for plans for a mitre saw stand. I have a sliding compound mitre stand, 10″, Makita. I currently use a dewalt job site stand and it works well but it takes up too much space in my very small shop. I am looking for mobile stand that will still support longer pieces of work when required (ie fold up or add on supports).
My skills are good and I have a full complement of tools.
I will use this likely for 2+ years. My new shop is under construction but I will not use it as a shop for at least 2 years (when the new main house is built).
Thanks for any advice

Mark,
Check out Rousseau's Miter Saw Stands. I have had one for years. The omly downside is the height - it is about 4 " high than everything else in my shop, but I bought it when I didn't have a shop.

If yu get one, remember to put the wings down after using, else they get all sort of "stuff" stacked on them.

Mark, have you done a FWW or a Google search on miter saw stand? I know there are dozens of plans, pics, relevant posts. The Knots search results take some patience to sift through, but here's one thread:

Every magazine has published plans, I'm sure, just takes some digging to find them.
Thanks for the links. The mobile stand in the link looks like just the thing for my needs right now. The Abram's stand is already on my list of projects.Mark
