All,
I recently purchased a 1940’s band saw and would like to put it on a mobile base. I’ve looked around some but the weight rating for what I saw was lower than what is needed. I need one rated for at least 1000 lbs.
Does anyone have a link that I could follow?
Thanks,

Jet makes two bases (600 & 1200lb.) They are very easy to assemble with the use of spring loaded locating pins. Available @ http://www.eagleamerica.com
In the search box type in mobile base.
Work Safe, Count to 10 when your done for the day !!

Thanks! I'll look into it.

The undisciplined life is not worth examining.
I recently put a set of Zambus casters on a MM16 (around 600 Lbs). They're without a doubt the smoothest rolling thing in my shop which includes HTC, Powermatic, ShopFox, and Performax mobile bases or casters. They worth every penny and only slightly more money for a set of 4 than a mobile base. If you've got a place where you can mount these on the saw base, they have several models that would more than support the 1000 Lb load.

If you build it he will come.
