Mobile base for Ridgid JP0610 jointer
I have recently purchased a Ridgid jointer, but being 6′ 1″, it is a little work bending down to work with it. Can anyone recommend a mobile base that will give me another 4-5 ” and provide a stable platform. Thanks. I am new to this forum.

I have the same jointer, and I'm using an earlier model of this base:

It only adds a couple of inches, but it seems to be about the right height to me (I'm 6' 2").

I have a Ridgid Jointer and I put it on a Furniture Dolly I got from one of the Big Boxes for about $20.00.. Works for me and 'just' fits.
No problems with stability or movement when I use it..
Furniture Dolly .. You know.. Those things with casters and carpet on the ends.. For more height, I would suppose you could put a box on top and then put the Jointer on top of that. Then again, the higher you put it the more unstable it will get (I would assume).
I make all my dollies myself, usually our of wood.
They are cheaper, and work better, that the ones you buy, in any event.
Remember to use 2 locking swivel casters and 2 fixed
Thank you for all of your input. I have just ordered the HTC 3000. Maybe a little overkill, but the amazon price is right, and fast free shipping.
Enjoy your holidays and be safe
Be careful! I have a RIDGID jointer and it's a bit tippy on a mobile base. It took a dump in my driveway awhile back. Luckily, everything is still flat and true (except for the gouge in my driveway).TPToolpig (a.k.a. The man formerly known as "Toolfreak" and "Toolfanatic")
Thanks for the advice. Once moved, hopefully it will be in a permanent location.
I built a mobile base for mine. It only lifts the jointer about an inch off the floor and provides me with a bit of storage below the jointer. The box is about as wide as the jointer at the top where the fence attaches. The jointer sits at the left side of the box. Although the casters stick out on the outriggers, I've never tripped over them. There's never been a time when I was worried about tipping the jointer over.
