Does anyone know of a local mill or sawyer (preferably mobile) in the Long Island area of NY? A smaller operation that would travel to mill a single maple, etc. would be ideal.
Thanks!
Jason

Jason.
We just started compiling a state-by-state list of mini-mills and travel sawyers on our Web site here. There doesn't seem to be anyone in your local area listed, but if you scroll to the bottom of the page there are a few other resources as well as a phone hotline you can call to find traveling sawyers registered with Wood Mizer.

Hi Jason... I don't know whhere on LI you're located but thhere are two mills in the Huntington area.
Look for Harned Lumber Mill in Commack and Urban Lumber in Huntington. maybe these twocompanies can help you.
Or... Google 'Long Island Woodworkers' and post the same question on their board. Lots of helpful guys and gals in that club and someone has got to have a good answer for you.
