Modeling beaded face frames in Sketchup
Hi, Has anyone found a way to model beaded face frames in Sketchup? The Rails and stiles meet at 45 degree. I can model a straight stile with a bead or a notched stile without the bead but I can’t seem to be able to model a bead and a 45 degree notch on the same part. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks, Eric

Eric, there are several ways to do this. One would be to use a cutting plane intersected with the slightly longer face frame part. Another would be to use Follow Me to create the entire face frame and then split out the rail and stile. I did something similar in a recent blog entry on the Design. Click. Build. blog. When I get to work, I'll find a link to cutting with the cutting plane.
