A while back I asked about a sharpening jig that could be used on long stone and not have the guide wheel ride on the stone.
I have some really fine stones that would load up from the roller on my Veritas guide.
I bought a $ 200 dig. camera too. It’s a finepix 2650.
Here’s a photo of the guide.

David, congrats on your new digital camera, but 331kb is (IMO) a much-too-big file to post as an attachment (takes too long to download for us mere mortals with dial-up access). I haven't looked at the photo, but for increased viewership, be sure to crop, resize and compress. You should be able to get it down to 30 or 40kb.

Sorry, I can barely get up there at this time.
Nice work David.
Apparently the brass roller on the Veritas jig needs to be cleaned and oiled often to keep it moving easily. Mine actually stopped rolling and flattened!
In keeping with Lee Vally's great customer service reputation they now stock a replacement roller assembly-- Brass Roller Assembly 05X0703 and it is $3.95.
