I am looking to purchase a moisture meter. I need one to progressively measure the moisture content of green wood that has been turned close to it’s final shape and size. Periododically the piece needs to be checked before the final turning can be done.
Does anyone have any suggestion as to which one to buy?
Thanks.

FWW had a review of moisture meters about 1 or 2 issues ago.
You're right! I forgot about that! Thanks. I'll look it up.

I've been thinking about it and if you are doing mostly bowls then maybe you would be better off with a scale. Then you could weigh each piece until it stopped losing weight; then you're at EMC. With a meter you also need to know what the relative humidity is and convert the meter reading to an EMC. Also, with a meter you probably don't want the kind that uses pins since they may show up on the finished piece (still working on the assumption you're making bowls). The pinless meters need a flat surface and your bowls probably don't have that either (except at the bottom).
