Hi all,
I’m looking for a recommendation on a moisture meter. My goal is to get the one that is considered the best bang for the buck. I don’t need the best but certainly know that the lowest dollar item is probably not what I need either.
I have a very big project coming up with a truck load of american beech (4000 or so bd ft) and want to make sure that I am doing everything I can to ensure my success (this of course includes paying attention to the moisture content of the stock). The stock will all be planed 2 sides (3/4″ finish thickness) and straight edged on one side (before it gets to me). Other then that, random width (5.5 to 9.5 inches or so) and random length (near 10 ft).
Pin or pinless is no matter to me. I’m really after accuracy or actually relative accuracy (meaning, I don’t care about the absolute number but rather that the relationship between readings is always accurate).
Thanks in advance for any suggestions,
Rob Kress
