In mid November, I had a black walnut tree cut into 6/4 planks. The wood is stacked and stickered in my shed. I’m now beginning to see light gray/whitish fluffy mold on some of the wood. I’ve gone back and read posts on this, and what I gleaned was no big deal, increase the air circulation with a fan, but wanted to double check with others who have encountered this situation.
I have placed a box fan in the shed and have it blowing on the stack, and the window in the shed is open. I’m also going to add a dryer vent/soffet vent to the other end of the shed to allow flow through ventilation. Do I need to spray the stack with a diluted bleach solution or are the steps I’ve taken enough? Thanks.
Tom
