I cut down and had sawn at a local mill some red pine from my yard. Air dried it in an out building. Had a real problem as the lumber had a lot of sap that seemed to turn to mold. Now that it is dry I am planing it and the wood is discolored, kind of a charcoal color where the “mold” was. Is there anyway to get rid of this discoloration. I am planning on using it for T&G paneling on my shop walls.
Thoughts Please

Either oxalic acid or two part A/B bleach may remove it depending how far it has penetrated the surface. But a bigger problem may be continuing sap oozing. If you had say coming out during air drying, it will probably continue to ooze in a warm environment. When pine is kiln dried, the heat crystalizes the sap preventing later oozing.
*Thanks for the help. What is Part A/B bleach?
