Just when a fella figures he has enuf pneumatic nailers, the world expands.
I wanna ask for advise from users of 23gauge nailers. There’s a spectrum of devices available, Omer being the highest end one I can find (300+), Porter Cable a little cheaper, then Asian imports starting at about 2/3 of those prices running on down to 79$.
Are the real cheap ones a waste of money (I think that may well be the case), but are the more expensive Asian imports any better, or are they just charging more for the same old crap.
I’m leaning towards the Omer, but if anyone has any experience with that brand, PC, or can suggest some other reputable mfgr, I’d appreciate it.
The prospect of not having to fill brad holes is enticing.

Eric, I was faced with the same dilemma when I decided to get a 18 Ga nailer.
I bought a cheap private brand nailer at a Boxing day sale for 49.00. It did not work well, (would not sink the nails) so I took it back and got another one. Works like a charm.
If I use it for 6-10 months and it dies, I've come out ahead. I'm a renovator and I normally use framers and bigger finish nailers. I don't use a small pinner often enough to demand the kind of reliability a trim carp would demand.

it's always a rather devastatating pointin life to reply to yer own query, but here I is doing exactly that.
There was a parallel thread that I was ignorant when I posted my query.
Many thanks to all the participants.
I sis opt to bite the bullet for the omer 23 gauge. Limited actual application to date, other than to test it out, and it is working just fine.
Now all I gotta do is find a tool box to keep it, and the tiny brads protected and handy. This tool ain't gonna be used everday, and it's cost makes it wanna be a "protected item"
