Just a look at a few that I’ve brought back from the “dead” pile.   An 8ppi saw with a new, made from scratch handle( Sycamore)  A Disston D23 with a re-furbished handle.  A third picture, showing the next “projectsaw”.    An old “toolBox Saw” (Irwin, maybe??) from before those blacken impulse-hardened teeth were used.    I mate that handle to it, add some new bolts, and even a new medallion.      Question is….Nickel, or Brass???
