Dust collection systems and air cleaners are necessary. None the less, when we are right in there watching what we are doing, we get dust not only in the lungs, we get eyes full! A year or so back, FWW did a short article on supplied air respirators. Featured were the Triton air unit, and the Trend Air unit. Has anyone had experience with either of these units? Especially the Trend unit, as it seems most similar to the welding helmet I wore while working for many years….. This would seem like an excellent guard against dust, but I’m having some difficulty in finding out any “real-world” information about either of these units… The FWW article mentioned recent medical reports that wooddust is a big cause of salivary gland cancer….
Any information that one of you might have on these units, using them, how they rate, etc, would be greatly appreciated

Andy,
If you do an Advanced Search with the Knots search engine (at the top left of the screen) you will find quite a lot of previous posts about this subject.
Put "Trend Airshield" as the search phrase, for instance, and you'll get a list of some recent threads discussing its features and usage.
