It's an excellent jig for router-made mortising. The manufacturing quality is superb, it is easy to adjust for location and size of mortise, and the results are repeatable.
One of the features I appreciate is that the template makes the mortise 1/64" wider than the bit. This insures that the sidewalls of the mortise are smooth rather than the scalloped effect produced by some router jigs.
Download the manual. It has unusually clear instructions and explanations.
Thanks for the info. Ever since I sold my combo jointer/planer/mortiser (WORST move I ever made BTW…) I have looked for a good way to get back to loose tennon joinery. I got the manual; it is well done and simple, seems like a great jig.

Been using one for about 2 years, very happy with the results. Previously I used my own plywood jigs,They were satisfactory but they can't match the consistent results of the mortise pal.
