Wondering if there’s anywhere you can buy just the drill bit for a tabletop Powermatic mortiser versus having to buy a chisel and bit when you toast a bit. Seems a waist having to buy both.

I'm guessing the bit and chisel need to be the right fit. I've never thought of trying to mix and match.
There are a few places that sell them (bit only)
Highland has a couple small, common bits and Scott Sargeant has any size you want.
Now that you mentioned Scott Sargeant, I found 3 places including Scott Sargeant in England that sell Nakahashi mortising drill bits separately. Unfortunately, when you add in the fees and shipping, you're up to the cost Lee Valley sells the chisel and bit combination. I'm going to call Lee Valley, maybe there's somewhere in Canada I can buy them. Nakahashi is the premium set Lee Valley sells. The bits appear to sell for about half the cost of a chisel and bit set in England. Thanks for info. At least I know some sell the bit separately.
The Premium bits from Grizzly are also Nakahashi, I don't know if they sell bits only
The bits also come in different lengths, so that is something to watch. Make sure the new bit is about the same length as the toasted one.
The ones at Scott Sargeant in England, interestingly enough, come extra long so you can cut to the length you need.
