Mount a Makita LS1013 to Dewalt stand?

I have a Makita LS1013 SCMS and really like the looks of the Dewalt DW723 stand. I have read elsewhere that my saw will not fit this stand despite Dewalt’s claim on their website & literature that the stand fits all miter saws. I reasoned that I’d find a way to adapt it so went ahead & ordered the stand. I’m waiting for it to arrive.
Anybody else already cross this bridge?

Just to close the loop on this unanswered question (and maybe benefit someone else sometime): Yes Virginia, the Makita LS1013 sliding compound miter saw is a perfect fit on the new Dewalt DW723 stand and makes an awesome combination. Now ya know...
I've had that setup for a few months now and it works great . The only thing I had to add was some large fender washers between the saw and the base attachments so I could tighten the bolts down without deforming the base attachments. I've tried a few other stands and this one is the best I have found for me,it's light and compact and sets up quickly and doesnt take up tomuch room in my van. Rik .
