I have the shopfox for my 1023 and for my 17" BS. I have found them to be very sturdy. For my 6" jointer and RAS, I purchased the Delta bases that you make 2x2 runners for. The both are not much different in price. The Only advantage of the SF base was it's weight capacity. Its made of nice heavy duty steel. The delta was completely adjustable (you make the runners). The Delta has three wheel with a kick plate design. It's made of stamped steel The SF has two fixed wheels and two swivel wheels. The only bummer was when I added the extension for the TS to the SF (7' rails & Legs), it made moving around difficult because of the two extra wheels. But to be honest, once I set the beast, I don't move it much. For heavy machinery, I would buy the SF again, and for smaller stuff, I would get the Delta. You can go to girzz's site and go to the cabinet saw you have and click accessories, and it will show the model you would need. They have different sizes based on footprint of the equipment it will be used for. I looked around and they were just as cheep as other sources, but that was a couple years ago. That's my two cents worth. Good luck on the decision.
By the way, which 8" model do you have and how do you like it?

Thanks for the info. the 8" jointer is about 15 yrs old, it works ok for me.I am shure the new ones are better.
woodenhead,
Ditto on the Shop Fox for the 1023. Also, Grizzly identified the replacement wheels for the Shop Fox base if you wanted to have 360 wheels on all four...(about $4-5 dollars each). The TS is heavy enough that it never moves while in use...I'm sure that whould be true of the jointer also...
I did not know about the replacement wheels. I may see if I can switch out my fixed ones. Also, on the moving part, I raise the wheels off the ground with the feet that extend down and elevate the base. Very nice and it won't budge once you set them.
