Multimaster sandpaper TOO sticky

The PSA sandpaper for my Multimaster sticks TOO well and when it comes time to take it off it seldom comes off in one piece. Has anyone developed a trick for this?
In a related question, will products like “goof-off” harm the rubber pad?

As with all psa applications, I run the machine and apply a fair amount of pressure to heat up the adhesive or use the heat gun, then peel.
No problem with the goo-gone.
