Does anyone have any experience with a Myford lathe? I’m not familiar with this brand(it’s English made) and there is one available. Is it a possible upgrade to either my Rockwell /Delta or my Jet lathe? I have yet to see it and we are negotiating price and on that I’m clueless.

After poking around a bit, Myford is still in buiness making machinist (metal) lathes. Plugging "wood" into their site search box got me an assembly manual for a wood lathe, but nothing else related to woodworking.
2 points that would have me walking away... you have a seller getting to price before you've seen it, and the likelyhood of parts and support issues down the road.
If you've fallen in love with a photo call Myford to see what support is available before pulling the trigger.
i bought a Myford wood lathe a few years back at an auction. It was used and without a motor. I could see no real advantages to the Delta I had, so I parted it out and sold it on fleabay. All the parts sold quickly and several parts , including the headstock went overseas. Bottom line, ok quality, but parts will be a problem.
I have 4 lathes and no room and got attracted to this lathe because of the display of high quantity tooling. The seller wants it to go as a full package. It gets complicated -in a series of texts I was never able to get the seller to give me a ballpark price. It was decided by him that I should come look at it. I explained that I live a bit of a distance away but just so happen to be close by right at the moment. He text back that he's busy most of this week!
I have found out a little bit about what it is now by searching online. It's a small capacity lathe , #1 Morse taper and supposed to be of a pretty high quality and has some clever design features. It does have a fan base of Myford lathe nerds so I can see how parting it out ,if I could be bothered, could work. I have a bunch of tools and machines that I have purchased because I had a need at the time that rarely if ever get used. I say to myself that I should sell this stuff , like two of my lathes, but never get around to it. I fear I might find myself having to deal with buyers that are as much of a PIA as this seller seems to be becoming!
