I have a plane i received from my dad. I don’t think he ever used it. It was his father’s plane (my grandfather’s). It’s missing a few parts. I would like to purchase the parts but I am new to working with hand planes and have no idea what type of plane it is. All i know is that it is a bench plane. It is made in the USA (it is cast into the sole between the frog and the tote), and it has the numbers “409” cast into the back side of the frog right where the iron depth adjustment knob would be (if i had one). I’ve had the plane for a few months. I sharpened the blade on my wet stones and flattened the sole. I think it works pretty well. Getting the missing parts would make this plane alot easier to adjust. Anybody have any idea what it is? I’m assuming it’s an old Stanely.

Post war
Looks to me like a Post War Stanley Victor. But the Cap and blade would tell the final truth. The Colors look right.
409...
That sounds more like a Sargent or Miller Falls model number.
I don't have the cap either
It appears highland woodworking has parts (see this link http://www.highlandwoodworking.com/hand-plane-repair-parts.aspx ). The problem is i have no idea what model this is to order the parts. I need the cap and iron adjustment knob. I wouldn't mind upgrading the tote and front knob to wooden handles (they're currently plastic). Would these parts listed at the website above work on this plane? the schematics on the website seem to match this particular plane.
Model...
Sargent had a #409 model plane that was a 9 inch bench plane. The type 3 409 is pretty common. I suspect that the yoke in the picture will provide the ID.
