Will be in Charlotte for the coca cola 6oo in may, are there any tool shops other than HD and lowes, looking for heavier shop stuff, maybe someone has a few brands on hand to compare.

Not familar with Charlotte, but if you get down Atlanta way any time; I'll give you several here you can look at the stationary machines.
Hope you get some response from folks around Charlotte...

Give me an e-mail around that time and I'll get you some directions, etc.
NASCAR, huh.. I just hope it's not Jeff Gordon you're coming to see. According to my wife, he's so cute. ha..ha..

Jr 8 all the way, did you see that yesterday?Johnnyinbda

Yeah I did. Remember I'm an old man and can't pull for those snot nosed kids. ha..ha..
These new guys have a great deal going for themselves. They get a shot at first rate teams and equipment. I went to my first race at Atlanta when the track opened in 64 or 65. Don't remember as I was in high school. You had to work your way up the ladder in those days.
The fifties you ran moon-shine all week in your modified car and went to the dirt tracks on week-ends for extra cookie-jar money. The 60's saw Junior Johnson, Baker, Jarrett, Lund, Lorenzon, etc. etc. etc. Richard Petty was in his second or third year that first race I saw.
It's come a long way since I got interested in those mid 60's. At one time, sort of a southern thang. Not any more. Not any more. <G>
Have a good day...

Johnny,
They have a Woodcraft store (http://shop.woodcraft.com) . If you are looking for some heavier used equipment you may want to try http://www.exfactory.com .
Good luck,
Tom
Depending on the direction you're coming from you could stop at Woodworker's Supply. They are located off I40 in Graham NC which is about 3 hours NE of Charlotte.

Will be in atlanta in august between bristol and darlington races, also nashville, hope to catch a braves game.Johnnyinbda
Go online and check out Harbor Freight Trading http://www.harborfreight.com. They have a location in Charlotte, NC along with ones in Fayetteville, Greensboro and Releigh. If you're traveling on 95, the one in Dillon SC (just into SC traveling south, is right off the exit. (Exit 192 I think). Anyway, it's the ONLY exit in Dillon.

Leneave Supply is here in Charlotte on near downtown. On a non-race weekend it's about a 10-15 minute drive from Lowes Motor Speedway.
