Getting back into deck building, primarily 2x Redwood/Cedar (Trex if I have to), PTDF framing, can’t pound nails all day like I once could when I was young, dumb and studly, nor do I want to. Used to use a rusty-brown colored spiral that held and looked real good in RW. Appreciate suggestions on guns for this particular application with efficient depth sink control and similar or recommended fastener. Thanks y’all.

Come on over to Breaktime and ask that same question, but be prepared to give more details of what you are doing. You will get a lot of help.
I use a Hatachi N83A coil nailer, but it is old and does not have an easy depth of drive feature like the new ones. I prefer the coil over stick nailer, because I don't have to stop as often to reload. It is heavier than a stck framer, but is aslso shoter in length, so it gets in smaller spaces.
