Hi ALL……..
I just recieved my new LEE VALLEY & VERITAS 2002-2003 catalog in the mail and while going through it noticed a beltsander that I have never seen before. So my question to all you tool Gods and Goddess’es out there is who makes this sander? It is on page 202 and in the upper left hand corner. It is orange and silver, so the only tool company that works with that color is Fien. Sooooooooooo anyone know ???. :>) Have a good one Rick………..

Wow, Rick, you're pretty quick on the draw. I only got to page 3 when I had to put it down and get some work done.
BTW, did you follow those links I posted for you??

HiYa F_G....
I know I know I sat down with a cup of coffee the other morning and went through the whole thing in a hour or so. There is some really nice stuff in this one. What do you think of the spray gun on page 208. I have a new kitchen job I am trying to finish up with in the next 2 weeks, so there are 28 doors, 15 drawers that need to be finished. The Boys are building the cases on site and applying the finish. My father ( The Boss) is over seeing this addition job for the crazy art teacher, working with the excavator, concret contractor, plummer, etc etc. So before we can start pounding nails there is a lot of leg work that needs to be done . So I am in the shop building doors and drawers, this is were the sprayer might come in handy, there is a whole lot of varnish to be brushed on. What do ya think.
I took a look at your lumber rack pic's. very nice , this is something I would like to look into soon. I have about 1000 bd. ft. of cherry, oak, walnut sittin in my buddie J.T's building and he called and left a message that he would like it moved out before fall, back to this changing seasons changing moods thing again?????????? Fall is on its way and I need to get into the mood to move some lumber. Have a great week .......Rick................Whats with the spell check anyway....??? (:>]
Rick:
I was just headed for the rack and I thought I heard the word walnut. Something drew me to this thread. Sorry you don't have anywhere to store that lumber. I don't particularly care for Walnut, but I do have extra space on my racks for maybe 300 or 400 feet of that Walnut. Be happy to let you use that extra space as I'm a neighborly kind of guy.
Just thought I would offer as sounds like you have to find a place soon.. I could just cover it with a tarp as I really can't even stomach the looks or feel of Walnut.
Mr. Nice Guy..

SARGE.....
You are so helpful. How long of a drive is it to your shop, think I could be there in a couple of hours.................ha ....... I stored some Redwood at a friends house back in the days when I really had no place at all. The plant stands he built were really nice.Thank you for the offer but I think temptation might get the best of you . I know it would me . I to cant stand that Walnut stuff. I know of a man in Wisc. that has a pile of 20' long Walnut boards 8/4, 6" + wide and were milled over 100 years ago this is some fantastic wood. The sad thing is he thinks so also and want's more than what I can afford. Besides were would I put it.............GRIN.........Have a good day Friend ..

Rick:
If you guessed I'm foaming at the mouth, you would be partially correct. I have always tried to maintain integrity through-out my life, but we're talking walnut here. he...
I got to go to work in a few hours. On the way in I'll stop by by my health-care provider and have a rabies check done..grin<>
Have a great day my freind and keep smiling..

Hi Ya F_G
Sooooooooooooooooooo did ya get to page 202 yet . Does Tooldoc know something that I don't, is there something you need to tell the Boys. Its one of those things that stick in one's craw, I showed the pic. to the boys on the crew none of them have a clue, so I guess its up to our loyal readers to figure this little mystery out. So how about it F_G do ya know huh do ya. Have a good Night-Morning- Day...Rick

TOOLDOC & ALL
After many e-mails back and forth to Lee-Valley and there Photo lab we all have determined that the Beltsander in question is a ..................................................................................................Black and Decker and the owner left the photographers borrow it for the shoot and they are trying to find him to ask what the model no. is ?. Any one out there in Knots land have some old catalogs for B-D laying about. Have a great weekend ALL. Rick
