Sorry bout that, the plan was to attach this to the first post. Joe H
*Looks like the lower orange color is a sprayed glaze (coating #2) that went over the upper yellow (coating #1). Probably lacquer. It feathers out better at the transition line (orange/yelow) with spray equipment.
*That's a toned finish, maybe shellac but most likely nitrocellulose lacquer that has been tinted with a dye. It's not too difficult to do, just takes a little practice. Chris Minick wrote about it in the Finish Line column of FWW issue #144, pp. 129-130.
