Name this wood

So I bought a bunch of random wood (multiple species) from a guy and some of the smaller stuff like this he acquired from someone else. He was unsure of what type of wood this one was. Can anyone tell me what it is? It is super hard.

Wow, I don't know off the top of my head but it's quite lovely, lucky you!
It's hard, so is it really dense, like red gum? Or less so, more like oak?

That looks a lot like some mango I picked up in Hawaii.
