I own an old Craftsman King Seeley table saw with a 1/2″ arbor. I’m frustrated trying to find table saw blades to accomodate it. Could someone please tell me where I could locate and purchase a bushing so that I could buy 5/8″ arbor blades. Or, if you know of anyone that makes 1/2″ arbor blades, that would also be helpful. Thanks. Doc

Sorry, this is the first time I've ever heard of a 1/2" arbor. Maybe some of the real woodworkers can help you out.

Go to the links page and look for sharpening services. Or do a search for Bulls Sharpening. They sell them for $2.50. People should look in the links page more often.
Doc, Go to sears and look in their tool section. they sell them in bags of 10 for about 4 dollars. They will sit inside the arbor hole in your saw blade and then you just slide it onto the arbor. works great. You can't miss them. they are with the saw blades at sears. Now something else to think about. How you gonna use a dado blade??? If you have this figured out please let me know!!! I do know that you can get a 1/2 inch holed dado blade. Don't know where to get one, but my father picked one up at an auction a few months ago. HTH
I have a dado blade, brand new, from the 1950's or 60's made by Craftsman with a 1/2" arbor that I bought on Ebay. It works, but it doesn't make flat bottom dados. I'm thinking that if I have enough bushings I will be able to accomodate a 5/8" dado. Or atleast that is my hope. Guess I'll just have to try and see. Other tough thing is trying to find another table saw insert for this saw that I can cut to accomodate the dado. They are smaller and much thinner than inserts on current saws. I do have an extra one that I bought, so I'm thinking that I might just cut a larger slot in it to accomodate the stacked dado. That's what I bought it for anyway. Again, another Ebay purchase. Kind of handy shopping place when you have vintage equipment like me. Thanks again for the tip.
Doc, I have a small table saw made by Craftsman, maybe the same era, it also has a 1/2" arbor. I went down to the local Napa store and they had cork bushings that went from 1/2" to 5/8" size for 29 cents each. I only use the saw to trim things on the jobsite but it works. Good luck!
