I currently have the v28 lith ion drills and im very impressed with the tech. I need to get a 12 or 14v drill for the shop. I dont want another big drill and i need more than an impact driver. Does anyone know of a lith ion drill less than 18v or can someone recommend a good professional 12 0r 14 v drill?

It's not LI but Metabo's BSP 12+ is an outstanding pro drill. Their website is metabousa.com
i'm starting to feel like a shill for festool, but i would check out theirs it is really well done...
Panasonics
I've got to agree, the Panasonics have the best battery technology that is not Li. Bosh has a small drill that is Li technology but it's so compact that I'm not sure it's what you really want. I have a Milwaukee 14.4 and like it very much. I bought it based more on how it felt in my hand than how the magazines rated it in their tests. That was the reason not to get the Panasonic, I couldn't find one to hold. My fingers are a bit short but my hand is very wide, I wanted a drill where I could reach the reversing lever without having to regrip the tool. I can do this with the Milwaukee. The Bosh I was looking at and several other drills were too big around in the grip for me to that.
Pnasonic....no question
