I have a 14″ Delta bandsaw and I need a fence for it. I’m looking at the Kreg fence. Has anyone got a recommendation for a good fence?

Thanks for the info. From the interest this subject generated I guess there's not much interest in bandsaw fences.
Joe
Joe,The kreg looks good, I get by with a shopmade version. Nothing more than angle aluminum that attaches to the table and a wooden fence to clamp to it. I don't do joinery on my bandsaw, just curve cutting and resawing. There are other options from Woodhaven and I think its called Eagle that would probably work OK.
I had that fence (Fasttrack before Kreg bought it out) on my 14" Jet and I liked it just fine. It did give the impression of being kind of puny but I never had any problems with it. Sold the saw and fence a few years ago.
Hey, Joe,
I haven't shopped around much yet, but I saw a JET fence, on Amazon, com that's gotten great reviews, $79. and free shipping.
Thanks for the info. I'll look at it.
Joe
I thought I had a posted response and guess I mave hit a wrong key.
Anyway, Check back issues of some of the woodworking mags for Bandsaw table and fence plans. Make yourself a nice big zero clearance table and some regular and resawing fences and have fun making them then using them. Spend the extra money saved from buying one on wood to make sawdust with
1 - measure the board twice
2 - cut it once
3 - measure the space where it is supposed to go
4 - get a new board and go back to step 1
Joe,
I bought a Delta BS about 15 months ago and recycled a fence from my old table top saw....cost me nothing. One day several months ago Rob Millard posted a picture of his BS fense which was quite tall (6-9")...with a cut out to accomodate the bearing mechanism...he clamped this to the BS to resaw. I built a tall fense, like Rob's, and attached it to my makehift recycled fense....the height allows me to insure the BS blade and fense are parrallel. It works great.
