Hi Gang,
I have a possible commission to turn 70 hollow 4″ balls – with a two inch opening. The inside is not seen so a wall thickness of 3/16″ is okay. You don’t need to sand the inside. In cherry using 16/4 stock. The bottom of the “bowl” has to be clean so you’ll need to reverse chuck and turn off the bottom. Anyone interested?
Thanks,

Kim, you may want to contact some of the local turning clubs.
You can get a list from the AAW web site. Phne numbers and E-mail addresses are included.

Where are you located, Kim?
I think Steve's suggestion of contacting the local turner's club is probably the best idea, but if you don't find anyone else, I'd be willing to help out. What kind of finish is required? Who supplies the material?

Hi Guys,
The job has been withdrawn. There was a metal gadget that was going to be glued into the hole. But I was afraid that the wood would move too much around the metal and destroy itself. The work is going to be done out of metal instead. Thanks for your help.
