I own a manufacturing company in Miami and was hired to re-finish eleven and reproduce (1) vintage folding chair, with what looks to be proprietary hardware…I’ve looked everywhere, to no avail. Can any of you specialists point me in the right direction? Many thanks!

Short of finding a metal shop to make new ones I'd be searching everywhere including ebay for one of those chairs in whatever condition I could find it in.
Go to your local machine shop and give them those. they will reproduce them exactly.
Or there are plenty of machinists online who will copy those.
I don't imagine it'll be the cheapest option but it'll be the best.
As far as the cheapest option and what i would go for....
What's wrong with the old hardware? Can't you just refresh them?
It's not difficult to clean them up and even plate them yourself.
He needs one more chair...
I thought he might have the last one, but it's in terrible condition and needs to be reproduced entirely.
One google search:

I would call any or all of these and see if you can mail your hinges in and let them take care of it.
Pictures will likely be enough to get you a rough quote before doing that.
Check this place out ..

I would check with these folks. This place is incredible for finding vintage hardware.

My mother had a piece of furniture missing one pull, I stumbled upon this place while wandering around LA after a shoot. I had her send me a picture, I showed them and they turned around and pulled it off the wall. It was PRICEY, but worth it.
Might be helpful to send a picture of the chair....could be one sitting in someones basement taking up room.
