Last year I stepped up from a nice GI contractor saw that's similar to the PM64, and bought a Craftsman 22124 hybrid.....I'm very happy with the switch, and find that the hybrids have several inherent design advantages over traditional contractor saws. There's really no longer a benefit in having the motor hanging off the back and all the problems associated with that design.
That said, the PM64 is a well proven performer, while the Grizzly hybrid is brand new. The Griz should have better DC, a smaller footprint, a shorter drive belt, a better miter gauge, and it has a cast dust shroud to connect the front and rear trunnion...which are all advantages. I'd be more comfortable if I knew for sure that everything worked like it's supposed to....Griz does have a good reputation for customer service though.
Tough call, but I think I'd lean toward the design of the future and it's advantages. (I did last year...)
