hello.
i’m looking to buy a table saw for a theatrical set designer who needs something on the small, portable side, because he has a very small workspace.
are those tabletop versions even worth it?
can someone suggest a reliable model that they like?
thanks.

Ah... stagecraft does bring back some memories. Depending upon what your stage carpenter is doing (amateur theatre?), he/she might well be better off looking at "job site" saws if a contractor saw or decent hybrid is out of the question. The "job site" saws are the ones that are on fold-up roll-away stands -- they are _not_ to be confused with "benchtop" saws. (I'd vote against any benchtop saw -- and especially any saw with a "Ryobi" nameplate for a stage shop!)
