Hi,
I ran into an issue with a table I made long time ago. At that time, I didn’t have a surface planer when I made the table. I made it with a couple of power tools. As a result it was not flat and had a bow in the middle. After a few years looking at it, it’s enough. I just took it to my table saw and cut it into 4 pieces, 8-inch wide and 6 feet long each. Thought that I could build a planer carrier to feed them to my 12 ” planer. Well, that is too much work if I have to build the carrier. My workshop is so small, that nothing was done easily there. In desperation, I’m looking for someone in San Diego that has a large jointer that I use in their shop. Anyone is willing to help ? or anyone has suggestion ? . I appreciate your help.
Regards,
Quang

To move on, I built this jig and was able to mill 4 slabs one surface smooth. Dust collection was a challenge...enclosing the opening to achieve sufficent suction is not yet figured out
Great job on that jig. Also, If you get an old 12" planer (try Craigslist), here's another idea on turning it into a 12" jointer:
