I have a gun stock duplicator and I work in a mill shop. I have to duplicate a corbal for an entablature in mahogany. I bought a corbal out of composite material.
My problem is mainly in the bit type selection. I have chisle type bits for the router but my smaller tip bits keep burning the wood. I sharpen the bits with a dimond hone and clean them frequently but this has not helped in the slightest. Please advise on the proper step down tooling from start to finish on an intricate piece. Info on why I’m burning the wood is also appreciated

I adapted tooling cutters from Wholesale Tools.
It's a bit holder, bar shaped, with mountable triangle shaped cutters. Infinite does even cover the possibilites.
Hollow grind your cutters and dress or stoph them. There's sharp and then there's sharp. Go for OHMYGAWD!.
Use HSS or M2 instead of carbibe. You canget the cutters much sharper.
