Hi Gang,
Like others who have walked this path before me, I am looking for help with choosing the right cabinet saw. I have read lots about the imports, PM 66, and Unisaw. I am considering the Grizzly, but have interest in the Delta 36-730. I am told it is built over seas by Delta. The saw with a 50″ fence sells for just over $1000.00. The problem is I have not heard any feedback on this unit. Can anyone help me out?
Thanks,
BZ

I just bought the 36-732 - the difference from the 730 is the Biesemeir (sp?) fence. I am kind of new to this.... re-entering after 10 years of woodworking idleness. I previously had a Craftsman 10" contractors saw (their top of the line at the time.)
I am happy with it, though I have not really put it to any kind of test so far. It came very well aligned.
As a side note, I have a small garage for my workshop, so everything needs to be mobile. I originally bought the Rockler mobile bases. I was very disatisified with them. They were a lot of work to assemble and, with the wood connectors, were not strong enough. I then saw and bought the Jet mobile bases. They went together in about 5 minutes for the first one and then 3 or fewer minutes after that and are much stronger. I added a sheet of plywood that I bolted to the base for the top heavy band saw and drill press. I then bolted them to the plywood. I made the bases for them a bit wider than their bases for added stability.

FWIW, Rockler has the 33-730 on sale for $899.99.
