I cannot find a source for a reversible stile & rail shaper cutter with a 1/4″ bead profile for 3/4″ to 7/8″ thick wood. Only available in full sets and I do not have enough doors to make to justify the cost of a real set, $190.00+ Does any one know of a source? I know I can make them the old fashon way like I used to but I would prefer to use a shaper set.

I doubt that you will be able to find one. Just get a two piece set for the router.

You're better off buying a router bit, bird.
The misalignment and difficulties involved in resharpening the shaper cutters make them uneconomical.

I forgot to mention that one bit cope and stick sets are a huge PITA to set up. If they are even a little off the process to adjust them is no fun.Pardon my spelling,

I have made over 200 doors with the two sets of reversible shaper cutters I currently own (ogee and classic) and I have had no problem setting them to get the heights just right. Takes a couple of tries on scrap wood the exact same thickness as the finished product.
Thats good, I think that I have had bad luck with my sets. Most of the sets I buy (they are all high quality" seem to need tweaking to get to fit perfectly. However I haven't made a 5 piece door in over a year. I out source everything now. I think that you will have a hard time finding this set you want, but you might want to call the manufacturers, they could possibly make one for you and since it mostly usses cutters they already have they might give you a break. Again I think using the router makes more sense.
