i am about to start making some shaker style cabinet doors. They will be maple with all square 90degree angles.
What do you all recommend for the joinery? would a slot cutter bit set be the quickest?

labatt ,
On most frame and panel or stile and rail doors the rail ends are made to fit the slot and on cabinet doors they usually are 1/2" deep just shy of the slot so there is room for glue .
The entire joinery can be done on the TS
hope this helps dusty

Thanks,
I was thinking of using a dado blade set?
The dado will work great to create the tongues on the rail ends but I set the ts so by running the parts through off each side flipping and running the other side the slot will fit the panels precisely , then fit the rail ends to the slot .
Make a sample piece with the perfect size slot for your panel material , then do all your rail ends first before cutting the slots .
good luck dusty
