Does anyone have a source for large diameter dowels? I need something around 3″ dia. Mahogany. I tried to fabricate this in my lathe-less shop, but it’s too much trouble. Thanks!

tufen,
when i worked in the real world, we sometimes needed to buy large dia. dowels and columns and did so by first consulting the yellow pages.
before i typed these words i peeked on google and guess what...?
let us have a gander at what all you're making!

Eef: Not sure what you are saying. I'm proficient at doing basic and advanced searches, but nothing came up that I could use--once I started pursuing the results.Did you find something, I'd like to see. Thanks.
t,
did not mean to be cryptic or hostile. i googled 3" dowel stock and got hits. what i mean to say is; the stuff is out there. you may have to mail order, however, if the vendor is at some distance.
