I want to buy a horizontal wet grinder for planer and jointer blades. The Delta got a lot of bad reviews at the Tool Crib so I am left with a 90.00 model from Woodcraft. Is that tool good enough for 13″ blades or is there a better one out there?

Makita.

The Makita 9820-2 is an excellent sharpener for jointer and planer knifes.
It has fine height adjustment knobs for each side for precise sharpening
adjustments. If you get the Woodcraft you still have to buy the planer/
jointer attachment for $37 so your cost is up to $127. The Makita is more
money but worth it.
Are you sure?
I have a system that sharpens my planer blades (tormex) but when I carefully sharpen them they last less than 1/2 as long as professionally sharpened blades..
What I use (because they are much cheaper and faster) is printer supply houses. The printers all use what looks like planer blades and they have really high standards regarding the quailty of edge on a blade..
Woodman,
I wish I had a camera to take a pic of the grinder that I made to sharpen planer and jointer blades becouse it works great.
I'm able to change differant grits of grindingwheels then at the last I use a water stone to grade the last wheel to get an absolute razors edge
Good Luck
