Ladies and Gentlemen,
I got one heckuva deal on a bandsaw. 20 dollars. Not sure if it’s worth it yet, but I already blew mt tool budget for the year on a cyclone. It’s an old powrkraft, probably nine inch or so, uses 60 inch blades and will never resaw, but the tires are well worn. I’m skeptical that it’s even worth my time to search for tires for it, is there any reasonable way to make my own? leather? duct tape?
thanks

Haven't tried it myself, but I have heard of using silicone caulk. Don't try to mold the crown, just gob it on. After it's cured, clamp a Dremel tool or die grinder to a jig and use it to shape the crown.
Don't waste your time trying to making them! carterproducts.com or Iturra should have them.
Rick's right. The Iturra catalog has tires for wheels 10", 12", 14", etc., etc. They start at $12.50 and go up incrementally from there. No need to jury-rig this operation. Phone: 1-888-722-7078.

You might try here as well. Powerkraft was actually made by Toolkraft which was a few towns away from where I live. I remember seeing those 9" bandsaws at the factory showroom years ago.
