Based on my research and the comments posted here I called and order the
G0555 the ultimate 14″ bandsaw from Grizzly. I also order the extension block. It should take 3-5 days to get here from Washington. So now I’m busy cleaning the shop and finding a perfect spot for it.
Are there some other accessories I should buy for this saw? I thought about the Cool blocks but realized the saw comes with bearing guides. I’ve heard the blades that come with the saw are not the best quality any recommendations? I would like to do some resawing another blade for general cutting.
I’m into laminating stock for bending. Make form cut thin strips 4-5 inch wide and glue them up. Seat bottoms- table legs etc.
thanks,
Martin

I can recommend the Timberwolfe blades. I use their resaw blades in my Grizzly 17" HDBS.
Here is a couple of good links on their site. Enjoy the new addition to the shop.

There is sometimes a link on the Woodworking home page that is for supplies and materials. They have a list of companies and a few sell bandsaw blades. One of them is Lee Valley. Also, do a search in the forums, especially Knots, and look for bandsaw topics. There are also some tips there for setup of bandsaws.
I agree with bones about trying the Timber Wolf blades. However, I'd recommend that you call and talk to one of the tech guys about what selection to buy your first time out. Their phone number will be on their web site. Before you call, gather your thoughts about what type of cutting you expect to do on what type of wood (e.g., kiln dried or green or both). They are extremely helpful, and cut through the dizzying array of facts found on their web site.
As far as accessories go, you'll probably want to build a bigger table at some point, and maybe a circle-cutting jig or a single-point fence. Build them as you need them.

More important than the brand, more important than the blade, more important than any accessory you could buy - is knowing how to tune up a band saw. Buy Band Saw Handbook by Mark Duginske.
Band saws are not tuned up to the level you would like when they are shipped from the factory.
You can get extrordanary performance - after you have adjusted the machine.
Best advise I could pass on!
