New Jet Joiner – Shavings Come Out Blades And Not Chute

So, I purchased a new 6 inch Jet Joiner. I assembled it following directions – they were pretty straightforward. When I run wood through the shavings come out the in-feed side – meaning they come “at you”. Nothing major except that the shavings should be going out the chute and are not.
What did I screw up in the set up?

Sounds like the port where the chips are supposed to come out is clogged. With the power off and the machine unpluged look and see it something is blocking the ejection port.
