New LN #62 Plane and Closed throat router plane- how to hone
Hi All!
I have some beautiful new Lie Nielsen tools. Any recommendations on how to get these lapped/honed right out of the box? Or am I good to go from the start?

Congrats on the new toys...err..umm, tools!
There is no reason to lap the plane bodies. If they are not true LN will replace them. The irons are probably sharp / close to sharp, but may need a honing. Inspect them, test them, and use your judgement.
I agree with MJ, a little honing on the iron and go enjoy the tool.
