I recently had a mulberry tree cut down and sawed into lumber. the wood is very wet. within just a few days, mold has started growing on it. I have now begun to “sticker” the wood and it is under cover in my garage. The wood also has some ants on it. I have sprayed some bug killer to deal with the ants. For those of you that have done this before, how do you deal with critters and mold?
thanks

Moldy Wood
A non-chlorine bleach, sprayed onto the wood will help relocate anything growing on it. You can get them in the laundry section, or a pool store (where you can get even stronger ones) Then a little airflow, in the form of a boxfan, should help keep things from growing again.
Hope this helps
Good air flow will solve your problem, so make sure the stickered stack has several feet of free space all around for good air circulation. Outside under an open shed is best or under a cover with all side open and space at the top under the cover. Good air flow is the key to air drying wood without stain or mold.
