Hi Folks,
My wife is insisting that I buy a dust collection system for
my already crowded basement shop. I’m wondering if anyone
out there has any experience with the Rockler Dust Right System.
It is small and can be moved & easily mounted in various locations
in the shop – depending on which tool you’re using at any given time.
Any thoughts on this or any other units that won’t take up too much space
and won’t break the bank?
Thanks,
Bill-

Woodrat1,
For my money, the Dust Right System appears to be equal to a good shop vac system. I'm not happy with the 30 mic. filtering which can quickly clog and cut your CFM substantially. Also, depending on distance from unit, the 650 cfm may be inadequate.
Okay, now reality, I've never used the DR system. Also, TS, BS are not well designed for dust collection, IMO, regardless of the DC system we can buy. However, the DC is great for keeping the air cleaner and that is important. I put a 1 1/2 hp Jet in my tiny shop last year. Yup, it's in the way but it is worth it. I noticed Delta is on sale at Rockler currently for about $400. With a piece of hose, the Delta or some other unit can be rolled up close and work well
