Faced with a large project that requires 100% gloss acrylic lacquer finish…even with our current spray facilities we couldn’t get the gloss finish perfect. So we sprang for a new spray room that promises to upgrade everything another notch:

Hi good to hear form someone else that works with gloss lacquer.
curently working on a cherry queenann sofa table, used verathan's jellcoat for stain then 2 coats of lacquer, the first coat was thinned one to two lacquer to thinner, ready to sand out the first two coates, a nigabor gave me some paraffin oil can i use that for my sanding out then re coat with more coats of lacquer?
Has anyone used paraffin oil and for what?
I've used paraffin oil for final rubbing out with rottenstone. I don't think I'd use it as a lubricant for between coat sanding since you would have to meticulously remove all of it before applying another coat of finish. It is essentially a very light mineral oil. Either water, or paint thinner would work just fine, and allow the paper to cut a bit faster.
