This is a second post (first was in August 2024) of the same product and looks like marketing or spam.
Not advisable to click on links like this.

Hi Russ - This not the same post that had a link to my one drive, which I apologize for. The link in this post is to another FB woodworking site. The FB link is just a nice demo of the bandsaw brake. It clearly states that it is not for sale. The objective for me is to see if there is enough interest in it to bring it to market. Other sites, including the one in the link, have shown very good responses. I think many of your followers would appreciate seeing this new style of brake. It’s a great demo, I encourage you to check it out before passing judgement.
Kindest regards,
William Brook
William-
Thank you for the clarification. I understand now your purpose in posting and wish you well in developing a new product.

I was just made aware that I need a brake.
Hello Chiwoodworker- I’ve been giving out my brake to numerous bandsaw users. If you would like a free one to try out, text me at 925-864-3797. So far it has been installed on 14 different bandsaws, ranging from 10” to 18”. The latest was a 17” Grizzly that went from a 45s coasting stop to a 4.5s braking stop! The 11 people that have installed it on their saws all love it. My only request is that you commit to installing it, and give it an honest review. Thanks!
I'll take a pass. Thanks.
You continue to use this forum for marketing and promotion. I agree with Ben, this is not a commercial marketplace.
It might be better for you to first talk about what motivated you to develop a retrofit bandsaw brake.
Russ
For the record, under normal circumstances, I would consider this spam and would delete it. I don't think that was your intention, so I'm going to let it slide this time.
If you're promoting a product you either make or are tied to financially in some form or another, you should be disclosing that. Also, one post showing a product is... ok. More than one on a forum is spam.
All that said, neat idea and I wish you the best of luck.
I'd also like to point out that the only two times you've posted on this forum are regarding your product. Not cool.
You're spamming if you're not interacting with the forum authentically and only posting for your financial benefit. Buy an ad next time.
Seems that at the price point I could sell one of my current saws on the used market, buy a new one that already has a brake, and come out ahead. I suppose it depends what saws one currently has. My three are all currently available machines that an enthusiastic hobbyist might have.
