Picked up an Itturra Tension spring for my Jet 14″er. Got it installed and have to admit that it was $15 well spent.

Bill, I just put one on my old Rockwell 14". What a difference! I also replaced the knucklebusting tension knob with Iturras' Spinner. It's pricey at about $50 but excellent quality. Feels better than a new saw.
What does this spinner look like? Can you tell me how to get their catalog? I understand that they don't have a webpage.
Thanks,
kevin
Ditto-
I have been trying to get through to them at 1-888-722-7078 with absolutely NO luck. I am hoping that a new tension spring will make a silk purse out of the sows ear that is my G1019Z.
Any ordering info that could be passed along directly would be greatly appreciated.

Ive bought my spring for my Jet through Highland Hdwe. I think they might have the tension arm aparatus. Ive tried Iturra direct and its always busy.
I recall seeing an AOL email address in their ads in FWW. If you can find the regular non toll free try that. Ive always had better luck with the regualr phone numbers over toll free with small business.
Thanks a million for the info. I will give Highland a try.

Kevin, The number given for Ittura is correct, 888-722-7078. It took me a while to get through too. There office number is 904-642-2802. The spinner looks like a table saw height adjustment wheel. See FWW 159, page 46, for a good picture of one.

Thanks, Ian. I have seen that pic and wondered if that's what you were talking about. I'll give Iturra a call. Thanks again for the information.

Iturra seems to be a pretty good outfit. The catalog is worth reading even if you don't need anything from them. It's more like a book.
I bought his tension gauge and am happy with it. I wish I'd bought one years ago.
The proof is in the puddin'
I bought a tension gauge, as well as a 124" X 1" lennox( carbide) blade from Ituura in Florida. I was , and am very happy to have found that guy. If there is any thing about band saw blades that he doesn't, it's not worth mentioning.
Good luck from Bohiemian
Does Ittura have a website?
What is the correct spelling? I did a web search and could not find it.
Thanks,
Mike
Mike, I don't think they have a website but they do have an e-mail address: [email protected].
